How to get started?

Before I share to you the  favorite affiliate programs and networks that bloggers  use to monetize their website, here are a few tips to get you started and put you on the right path:

Never treat affiliate marketing as ad display. You can’t just put a banner on your sidebar and expect sales. You have to engage with what you’re promoting and share your experience by writing it or reviewing it.

Write a list of products and services you wrote in your blog and would want to suggest your readers to purchase or try.

Remember to disclose! It is required by FTC regulations that add a disclosure on the pages and posts where you have affiliate links. Grab a free disclosure template from my RESOURCES

Get creative when promoting your affiliate links and start using it on all your social media platforms.

To tell you frankly, there are a lot of affiliate programs out there but I suggest that you choose a few that are relevant to your content and start testing out a few different strategies to see what works for you and your target audience.

To give you some insights, here are a few of my favorite high-paying affiliate networks for bloggers! Remember that you can earn commissions ranging from 5% to 60%.

AWIN

I recommend this for new bloggers or to all those who get started with affiliate marketing it is because they have a WordPress plugin that automatically transforms all your links into affiliate links once approved. Install the plugin first and your blog is instantly monetized! You can have access to merchants such as Fiverr, Etsy, Paperchase, Misguided, ASOS, Swagbucks, John Lewis and more.

The only catch is that they require a $5 admission fee (that you get back with your first payout) so don’t worry it is worth your $5!

Shareasale

Shareasale has over 1,000 merchants that are exclusive only to their site, which means this is the only program that you can use to promote them. They also have wide access to a good selection of digital products and services.

This is my current favorite network with over 4,000 current merchants such as (Wyzant, coupon surfer / , Name CheapGrammarlyTailwind, and Creative Live), no matter what you blog about you will find something here that your audience will want to buy!

 Ebates

Ebates is an online shopping platforms that gives you cashback every time you purchase something through them. They work with all these big names such as Amazon, Nordstrom, Ebay, Nike and so on which is why you can end up saving big sums of money over the time if you remember to go through them before shopping online.

They also have a referral program that awards you $5 for every person that makes an account with them via your link. They even offer bonuses such as $40 for referring the first two people, $100 for referring 10 people, $600 for referring your first 50 people and so on.

Sign up using my link and get a $10 bonus just for creating an account!

Flexoffers

Felxoffers has a growing collection of 10,000+ affiliate programs, which can be promoted using their expanding selection of applications including content feeds and text links, among others when you get approved! Brands such as Walmart, Macys, Bloomingdales etc.

Skimlinks

Skimlinks, a top affiliate network that gives you access to all its merchants when you get approved. Unlike other affiliate networks, you don’t have to separately apply for each advertiser and wait to be accepted because once you’re in you are free to promote all merchants Topshop, Ebay, ASOS, JCPenny, H&M ,Target etc.

They also have WordPress plugin that converts all your old and new links to these merchants into affiliate links, which is a time saver because you could be blogging and earn money without any extra effort on your part all at the same time.
